Friends of the Public Garden
Elizabeth Vizza, the Executive Director of the Friends of the Public Garden will give a presentation on the recent history of the three downtown parks (Boston Common, Public Garden and Commonwealth Avenue Mall) from 1970, focusing on the trees, horticulture, sculpture and other structural features of the parks. Highlighted will be challenges and threats to the parks; the work of the Friends of the Public Garden to preserve, protect and enhance each of the three parks; and how neighbors can be helpful as advocates for the needs of all the parks. A Q&A period will follow the presentation.
